Very very rare in mba programs. That happens more in stem from what I've seen. Oxford doesnt even consider mba graduates to even qualify for scholarship. Because they consider it to be a ""prestige degree"" @imontheloose

Mostly case studies on various businesses. It is a more of a prestige degree than anything. You dont learn any hard skill in an most MBA programs besides finance and few others

cope for people with shitty undergrads tbh
In many cases yes. Many undergrads eith deep pockets see it as low effort of getting a good job
waste of time and money
Not always imo. An MBA from a top school (INSEAD, HBS, Wharton, LBS) opens doors due to many top investment banks, private equity firms that is otherwise almost impossible to get in without deep connections. Many people attend MBAs just for the alumni network than the course content.many ecruiters often care more about the school name than what you studied there.

Just seen as a professional add-on from what I know. They’ll fund research students, not career-focussed degrees.

They’re running the brand of, if you want our accreditation, you’ll pay for it. A prestige purchase, effectively. To be fair to the admins, the demand exceeds the supply; no need to incentivise with funding. Oxford has never been about building up 900 MBA students like HBS or Wharton. We are world leading in mathematical modelling and theoretical physics, not to mention our FHI and Oxford Internet Institute is pretty good with AI research. I’ve seen it myself.

The Skoll Centre is a rare exception. It simply aligns with Oxford’s mission, that’s it.

Mba is overrated

It's med school or nothing for grad school

Otherwise tech job out of undergrad is the move

Tech jobs stagnate tho. MBA can get you to CEO

You either make money right away to enjoy your youth

Or go to med school for guaranteed big bucks down the line

Every other grad degree is a scam these days

Cage
Mba is better for long term career progression in general.

Everything except med school isn't guaranteed big bucks

If it isn't guaranteed it's a scam

Good rule to follow

Even med or tech doesnt guarantee big bucks. After a certain level a mba is literally a requirement in many fields to get a promotion

I never said tech guarantees big bucks

It's just the best job to do out of undergrad in terms of lifestyle

Med school does guarantee big bucks if you graduate

Unless you have no idea what you're doing
