but everyone is hellbent on it being mainly genetic.

so why does it directly correlate to gdp per capita?(aka quality of life)

Height is about upbringing and genetics

Heights can increase gradually in families once living standard and diet quality is increased

It's more so mainly genetics in most cases though

Unless you live in a shithole or place with an incompetent government, everyone has access to good food and free quality healthcare. So most of the time it's mainly genetics
