I'd say it makes perfect sense.
Becoming high inhibition doesn't happen in a vacuum.
Getting rejected over 90% of the time overall (and 100% of the time when acting on perceived IOIs) is what led me to become high inhibition.
If you know that failure is basically guaranteed, why bother shooting your shot?
