Humans can have emergent goals and preferences that don't contribute towards our survival and reproduction.

If theres no bigger purpose in this life why keep going if we are just meat sacks trying to survive and reproduce

Biological evolution is only one of many optimization forces acting on the human brain.

Memecomplexes evolve to better infect brains and cause us to have different goals. Our fitness landscape (environment) being different from our evolutionary environment also causes us to have different goals and preferences.

It's because your brain is heavily infected with the looksmax culture and related values. Put yourself in a different culture for sufficiently long enough and you'll develop different values. Ex: Self sacrifice for others, Being Hard/Strong, Stoicism, Seeking Knowledge, Discovery, Building/Creating, etc.

Some values will be more fulfilling than others.
