Objectively white/light skin and white eye are more prone to sun damage and skin cancer. So wouldnt evolution want us to have darker rather than lighter skin?? Same with colored eyes. This doesnt seem to be the case though.

Like other things, like wide jaw, good brow ridge, AKA high T features, make sense, but not coloring.

Its not that simple. You are thinking about the modern world where everyone lives together. Skin color was mostly dependent on what region you lived in and the amount of sun exposure you are subjected to. Darker skin tones absorb more light and black/darker people have higher vitamin D requirements.

In europe those traits are, just like everywhere else, favorable for attractiveness, but they are also favorable for natural fitness in the environment, unlike in central africa or central america where those traits are so poor for your natural fitness in that environment that they cannot propagate.

It doesnt matter how attractive the feature is, if every person with that feature struggles to survive to mating age. In addition, features like light eyes and light hair are recessive and are not as easily expressed, so a massive chunk of the population needs those recessive genes for it to become a part of the gene pool. Even if you are attracted to someone with red hair or blue eyes, if you dont also have those genes, the kid between you and that person will not have blue eyes or red hair. also, because you can possess the gene without having blue eyes, you cannot always choose mates knowing they have that gene, which also makes it difficult to propagate. For example someone could have the right allele or SNP or whatever for blue eyes, but they also have the one for brown eyes, so their eyes are brown because the brown is dominant. And theres a whole bunch of other stuff but im not a geneticist so I am not sure about much else

dark skin = conceals flaws so you cant see acne, skin infecfions as obviously

light eyes = allows you to perceive the other person’s eyes and pupils better.

Also colors like blue, green looks better than brown. take a sapphire or an emerald vs mud

I said that in relation to the OP. Light features are still seen as more attractive even in countries where they're more common. Blue eyes are still as attractive in the west as they are in third world countries.

Light skin absorbs more Vitamin D, in places with limited sunlight exposure this is an advantage. While Dark skin protects against sunburns.

Light eyes have zero functional advantage, but the mutation spread wide because it was considered more attractive for most people.

We as whites come from cold countries ancestrally. We had no need for dark skin because the environment was dark & cold. We evolved these features specifically for that reason
