Then how is your skin supposed to look better? If I have dry skin it doesn't really matter what the cream does, I wont look good.

I moisturise a lot but its not helping. Feels like quitting tbh.

How long have you been using it? What strength are you using? And how often are you using it?

Your skin gets used to it after some time, just wait and be patient.
Have some rest days, or lower the strength.
I tried to start with .05 and it was a nightmare, then I switched to .025 and it started working.

I used it for 3 days. The strength is 05 and it was either once or twice per day daily lol.

I may have overdone it but I've been reading and it says that it is expectable to have dry flaky skin for "just a few months".

I was very excited because there was another user who had an instant collagen boost right after his first week of use and his pics looked amazing :(.

I can't have skin like that because I'm kinda dating so it's obviously major looksmin... I may have to look into some peel instead.

Yeah, starting at a 0.05% and using it every day or twice daily is an almost guaranteed way of fucking up your skin.

While it is normal to see some dryness and flaking, you've definitely overdone it. Stop for a while, moisturise the shit out of your skin and let it get back to normal. Then slowly reintroduce it. Once weekly initially, slowly building up frequency until you can use it once daily. If you need to, buffer it with moisturiser.

This is exactly why I loathe the "tretinoin or bust" mentality on this site- its so easy to fuck your skin up if you're not careful. And side note- the difference within a week thing is almost certainly a case of either a longer time frame, a lighting change, a fuck load of topical hydration products or the placebo effect. You're not going to see that much change from a retinoid within a week.

Retin A dries the skin.
Retin B hydrates the skin.

Everybody knows that.

Hhhh it is SO OVER haha. I hope that it's back to normal soon since it was only 3 days... Thank you, you're extremly helpful.

Retin b?

You need to ease into it and let your skin adapt slowly. Start at lower concentration or don't use it every day until your skin can handle it.
