So I’ve read testimonies and researched the daily lives of working class men in America from the early 20th century (1900s and 1910s) and it seems like most men just bathed once a week at most. Even after long laborious days working in factories and coal mines. How did women ever become attracted to these men? They must have because marriage rates and childbirth were so much more prevalent back in those days. Their was more physical touch and live and affection between people too. So how does this get explained?
