so we know some species cease to exisit right

how could we know what exsisted 'million years ago"

some say we have fossils and stuff but these so called fossils are giga rare, when creationist oppose evolution that say if it was true then we should've observed thousands of these fossils, the evolutionist says that they get lost, destroyed...etc

but then they make claims like humans ate this and did this and that, how can you be sure that they ate a completely diffrent diet with food that no longer exsist today
