Most people here are stuck in a between state; they see the futility of consumerism but also understand the importance of money.
But guess? There are very few people like that in the world. Humans are either full on consumerist bots or complete non conformists.
There is just simply no room for the ones "in between". And from personal observations, only women can run in the ""in between" category.
There are women who have education and a stable income that are experimenting with arts, music, being creative etc.
But the reason they are able to do so, is because they are WOMEN. They can have sex ANYTIME they want so they are free to live life as they please.
Meanwhile, as a man, you are a SLAVE. You have to opearte under very specific frames that only a small minority of men can avoid and even they will have to confirm eventually.
There is no room for experimentation sadly. Personally, i learnt this the hard way, you CANNOT do whatever the fuck you want and trying to do so will drive you INSANE.
