Yes, of course. Because how can you know the truth regarding both religions if you just stay tunnel vision with one. That is not to say forget Islam if you are Muslim but you must understand and know how a Christian thinks, their beliefs and thought process if you wish to understand religion entirely.

but what shocked me the most was that oldest book of the bible was found in greek like language

Jesus (pbuh) comes in multiple forms for different situations in Christianity, that's what I believe. He appeared as a human to understand mans suffering and forgive them, He is the creator and he is the Holy spirit (Ie is omnipresent, can forgive you or communicate to you before death)
