achieving anything in life” is a very broad term but to me it means success / completing a hard task or goal that actually benefits you. success / goals are subjective and everyone has a different definition of success. some people want money, some want fitness, some want freedom, etc.
but the process of achieving a goal is not subjective. no matter what the goal is, you have to complete smaller difficult tasks to reach it. those tasks require motivation, willpower, or discipline (a large part of this is genetic yes, but doing nothing is still laziness). after consistently completing these smaller tasks, you eventually achieve your goal / succeed.
so it is objective in this sense. while everyone has a different goal, for everyone success still means doing something difficult over a long period of time. that part does not change from person to person.
if you spend too much time with people who don’t have a goal in life or aren’t doing anything to achieve it, you will slowly become one of them. environment shapes behavior. there are outliers in every field, but outliers do not disprove the rule. environment is LAW nigga
