If you have a daughter, will you leave her inheritance to her or someone else?

Say you have a daughter who gets married, would you leave her inheritance to her, which would simply get absorbed by her husbands family (last name)

Or would you leave it to say a nephew/cousin who carries your last name?

Or does none of this matter because legacy means nothing to you?

I ask because if you give it to your daughter, you are essentially gifting her husband, who fucks your flesh and blood, 100s of thousands in life insurance and estate value
