Benzoyl is legit it's the best anti bacterial which is how clogged pores get infected thus forming a pimple however it doesn't stop oil production which causes pores to get clogged in the first place so that's where the antibiotic comes in I assume. This is also how accutaine works it literally stops virtually all oil production so yea this method is def legit accutaine should be a last resort

My acne was always mild, I would get few pimples here and there but they would disappear fast without significant scarring

this year it got way more agressive, I was having pimples in unusual and even untouched and clean spots on my face and ~10 active pimples simultaneously. And a single spot would get inflamed again and again, leaving a big mark and pain

I’d totally even be ok with the sides of accutane tbh

I considered accutane but this treatment seems to be working much faster, so I’m sticking to this for some time until my face is clean

On my second cycle of Accutane & it's still not gone. Went away for a week at the end of my first cycle but came back asap. The dermatologist is pretty astounded.

I've done all of those things. Doxycycline you can only take for 3 months before your body gets used to it. I have actual sensitive skin so I can't use benzoyl peroxide as it burns my skin and makes it peel off. Also, adapalene is like a really really weak sort of Retin-A.

I'm taking accutane, the king, goat, the only thing that ends acne legitimately.

I'd stop. The stuff is pretty bad for you. Also, if you didn't get noticeable results from clindamycin it won't help at all. I was on the stuff for almost a year & basically did nothing. Some people say it works though so make your own judgment.

How's it going? i'm using epiduo too (BP + adapalene) 3-4 times weekly and wondering if I should add in retin-a 0.025 on the other days tbh, not sure if it'd be a good idea to use retin-a and adapalene together, also everyone says BP shouldn't be used for too long - it's too irritating, might speed up skin aging and make skin paler as it is a bleaching agent, perhaps short therapy with it might be the best
