If you're white passing what does it matter? That's literally all that matters. Who cares if you're ethnically this or that? If you're white passing people perceive you as such and you reap the benefits of a superior skin tone, ultimately it doesn't matter if technically you are "ethnic" if people perceive you as white you are white.
This also means even if you are not an "ethnic" but you are tanned and look like a musulman arabi then you are ethnic to everyone else therefore you are ethnic, no one cares what you are by definition or aren't they only care about what they see.
