im an underperformer and i have no motivation to change that because im not that satisfied with that job anyways

but unfortunately i dont have anything else atm so im just waiting until they pull the plug

there is a very weird tension in the office though and they already informed me i have to get better.

Places like that have stupid high turnover so they probably didn't give a shit, whereas if you have a real job you're a bit harder to replace so they have more incentive to work with you. Kind of a vicious cycle because the employers acting that way towards employees only increases turnover rate because employees justifiably don't give a shit about the job in response.
