Samsung Galaxy a20 and LGK51. These are and have been the only phones that I've owned so far to take pictures with. Both are under 200 dollars and both have different ways of destroying my face lol.
The Samsung a20 has some sort of Korean filter built in and rounds my face and enlarges my eyes, which is amazing for a woman but HORRIBLE for a male with a prominent browridge so I end up looking ridiculous and my face is then bloat maxxed.
The LGK51 ogre-fies my face by by making my crooked nose look like it's melting off of my face and it also enlarges my eyes making me look schizo
I even tested it because I couldn't believe I was as unappealing as I was seeing in the photos I was taking, so I took a handheld mirror, stood in a position under a certain lighting and held a stagnant facial expression, I then took a photo with the phone (multiple times from different lengths both close and far) looked at it then raised the mirror up to compare (both close and far) and what I saw was 2 different people lol. In the mirror my eyes are relaxed and pleasant looking, face is well proportioned and decently harmonious. Jaw not too defined- but attractive.
In the picture my eyes look receded (due to rounded jaw) yet wide open in a paranoid schizo sort of way. Facial aesthetics completely destroyed. I have to squint very deliberately to get my eye area to how it looks in its resting position irl lol. Why are these phones enlarging my eyes so much? (And bloatmaxxing me) It's destroying me.
Does anybody else here take pictures with any cheap phones and have gotten decent results? I've heard about many ascensions in facial attractiveness on film after getting a smartphone of good quality (iPhone or S series Samsung) if I can just get a phone that replicates reality I'd be fine lol.
