I recently spoke about my experience where I began a new course of orthodontics solely for the purpose of long term gum health but it immediately pulled my mandible forward out of position which completely destroyed the facial harmony I achieved via jaw surgery

Thankfully I managed to get my jaw back to it's post surgery position by immediately reversing the aligners but it thought me just quickly you can lose something that makes you feel content

Now that my ramus is back in it's normal position it's reminded me how a tall setback ramus really is a thing of beauty

What's comical is that I thought I had a short ramus pre surgery but it only looked short relative to excessive chin height and due to being pulled too forward out of position due to underbite.

It is somewhat crazy to think that all along my mandible had the potential to be mogger without adding a single milimetre of mass, literally all that was required was to set it into a class I occlusion position to display it's prowess (while removing some bone to make the shape appear more robust)

My entire skull is a marvel in engineering with a class I occlusion, it is beyond fucked how orthos (the ones who's sole purpose isn't preparing you for surgery) are allowed to decimate so many faces.
The recent orthodontics literally destroyed my harmony in a week
Just think about how much damage they cause to teenagers while their developing who will never know what their true adult face and skull was supposed to look like
