In another hadith, the Prophet of Allah is narrated saying -"...As for the tall man whom you saw in the garden, he is Ibraaheem and the children around him are those children who die in a state of fitrah (sound human nature).” Some of the Muslims said: O Messenger of Allah, what about the children of the mushrikeen (polytheists)? The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “And also the children of the mushrikeen.”
If Islam was to adapt to the whims of every human being who was interested on it, it would become another prostitute religion like many others, and Allah will never allow our deen to reach such a disgrace, for our religion is set to change people and not the other way around.

Allah warns us about the imperfect conditions of the human being over and over in the Qur'an, and the perfect does not adapt to that which is imperfect, and the truth does not adapt to falsehood.

It is incompatible with the modern western world at large, sadly. Furthermore, it never went through secularization and was not tamed down like Christantiy or adapted to the times. You even have a ton of people actively cheering for the fall of Assad's regime and the takeover of a Jihadist, fundamentalist, Islamic regime. When Assad himself was secular, which I find comparable to Turkey and it being able to successfully evolve to the modern age.

You have no freedom from religion. Which is a huge negative in my opinion. IF you are not of a religion, you shouldn't be bound by its laws. With all the migrants bringing these types of ideas, it strikes me as Jihadist in nature. But even with religion, Islam had a Golden Age which saw inventions and ideas being brought to the forefront. Also, they saved a lot of the ancient text from the Greeks/Antiquity. So it's not as black and white as I am typing. I am also not 100% sure about the scholars themselves and how dogmatic they were tbh.
