Im a Muslim and a strong one. But let’s say When you die it’s just a black screen of nothing. Can you fathom that?

Like imagine it’s just fucking nothing. Can you imagine nothing. You are literally nothing. What does being nothing feel like?
You can’t really feel nothing because feeling requires awareness, and in true nothingness, there is no you to even realize it. It is not darkness, not silence, because those are still something. It is the complete absence of existence. No time, no space, no thought. It is like trying to imagine before you were born, but even that does not capture it fully. But here is the thing. If there is truly nothing, then there is no you left to experience the nothingness. So it would not be scary, painful, or even peaceful. It just would not be. That is why the human mind struggles with it. We are wired to exist, to think in terms of being, so we cannot fully grasp the absence of all that. We humans cannot even comprehend what nothing is. Even sleeping doesn’t fully capture what nothing is.

In order for you to participate in thinking you need a brain, when you’re dead you lack that brain

So then what does not having a brain feel like?

Nothing, you have no capacity to think, you cant process hormones so therefore no emotions, like you said try picturing life before you were born, u can’t

Even a black screen would be something. You wouldnt be able to comprehend nothing, because if you can comprehend something, then its not a "nothing", its a something. If i saw something like a black screen, if i somehow had a mouth, if i somehow had a brain, i would probably be screaming in utter horror for god knows how long before i lost my voice, and lost my mind.

But you don’t exist. How can you imagine yourself not existing. This is what some atheist believe and it’s very interesting. Eternity. You are nothing for eternity thinking about this gives me shivers down my spine.

Yea it does scare me cause im currently alive, as for as long as i have had my consciousness, i can only ever imagine being alive. But when im dead, if there is nothing after death, if i dont have mind brain to comrehend something, then i wouldnt be able to be scared in the first place. Being scared is an emotional response that is fired by chemicals in your brain, if you dont have your brain after death, because theres nothing, then you wouldnt be scared, because it literally wouldnt be possible for you to be scared.

Imagining nothing for eternity is literally impossible because our minds are shaped by time and existence everything we know is framed in the context of experience change duration events and sensations eternity by definition is endless time and nothing would mean there is no time no change no events happening.

The scary thing is this is a possible concept
