I’m usually the most put-together guy in the room especially at formal gatherings. I stick to light-colored shirts blue, white, ecru or pink always neatly ironed. My trousers are in dark colors. Like dark grey, black brown, navy, maroon, olive and full-cut with ankle breaks and pleats again pressed to maintain sharp creases. I pair them with well polished black Oxford shoes, calf-length socks, and a leather belt with a polished shining buckle. A golden fountain pen. I think from Pierre Cardin always sits in my shirt’s breast pocket, and if it is not too warm, I throw on a linen sports coat. I also wear my Omega Speedmaster always. I typically skip the tie unless it’s absolutely necessary. I learnt all this and leefect turnout in the army when we were forced to maintain our uniforms and take good care of them. While I usually lean towards casual and streetwear, I do enjoy dressing like this when I can though niggas joke that I have "grandpa" style.

Out of habit this how we were supposed to dress at formal gatherings in the army. And it's not really preppy or waspy. Preppy incorporates more color

IMO darker colors go well with warner skin tones and light colors go well with lighter skin tones - not the skin color but the undertone.

Do you live in India? If so is it influenced by British style or clothing?

Even I have a small collection of sneakers and streetwear used to wear them a lot when I was younger and I still do but after a certain age you have to dress up otherwise you won't be taken seriously

Curries need to stop dressing so formally. It doesn't look good and just makes you look non-NT and unsexy. Dress more casually but high quality clothing. Stop with the Polo and Tommy Hilfiger JFL.

It is only non-NT if it doesn't fit the occasion imo.

I agree and in most occasions you want to dress more casually. If it's at office or work, sure dress formally.
