I'm qualified to get accepted to a big bank potentially , do a 4 year degree and potentially earn well into 6 figures after some years of experience.

I already have a degree in computer science but this seems so much more compelling money wise idk it's really up to me.

This is uk based btw

Unable to answer that atm as I'm still reading about it the base salary is 28k while I'm doing the degree but after I complete it it can eventually be in 6 figure range. It's nice as I get paid doing the degree no bullshit loans needed and I already have solid qualifications so I think I might be accepted

True but if you have 6 figures but having to work 12 hour shifts week by week it doesnt seem to worth it to me tbh

Major in Italian literature or sociology instead

If it’s paid for do it. Will your comp sci classes cross over and make the time shorter to achieve the degree?

Nah it won't take less time but I'm just interested about the progression after I complete it so more longer term benefit

Can't speak for the UK but in the US finance is ultra competitive, as in if you didn't go to a target school like Wharton, Stern, Haas etc you're fucked and your degree is worthless.

Never heard of a bank sponsoring an employee to get a finance degree but if that's a real option make sure to read the experiences of others who went through the same program. Sounds like it won't be easy

Ye it's ok that It isn't easy. I'm not applying for a job at a bank it's more like a degree with a bank and you get a base salary then they take you to work for them after you sucesfully complete it

If they are giving you a position in IB or PE or something like that go for it

Also you would literally have 4 years of experience working in a top bank straight out of uni would be dumb not to go for it tbh
