As you may already know, supplementing collagen has been linked to various benefits according to scientific literature.

I am planning on purchasing hydrolyzed collagen peptide powder, since I do have some issues with acne scars and I'd like to improve my skin and hair complexion and potentially bone mass.
I am specifically considering bovine collagen, as it leads to an increase of both Type I and Type III collagen, unlike only Type I with marine collagen. I'm still unsure though since marine collagen has been said to be more bioavailable and have better skin benefits. High IQs, what do you think, bovine or marine collagen?
The cheapest, trusted collagen supplement I could find was 20$ for 500g (bovine). Considering the best daily dose is 15g, this is only a little more than a month's supply. 20$ per month for a supplement is expensive as fuck. It could take months to see results too.
So, is it worth it? Has anyone taken collagen peptides before, did you see a noticeable difference, or am I just about to fund the supplement industry’s yacht party? I have the money but if I’m sipping collagen smoothies for months only to look the same… I'm gonna ropemax.
Effect of Orally Administered Collagen Peptides from Bovine Bone on Skin Aging in Chronologically Aged Mice
Collagen peptides (CPs) have demonstrated to exert beneficial effects on skin photoaging. However, little has been done to evaluate their effects on chronologically aged skin. Here, the effects of CPs from bovine bone on skin aging were investigated in chronologically aged mice. 13-month-old...
