Ever since I joined this site I thought I had it all figured out for the next five years. But then stuff didn't go as planned, and over time I lost that energy and motivation and all I had worked for for half a year just vanished and now I'm back to being a lazy, dopamine addicted, useless bastard... I don't know what to do anymore. If someone has a piece of advice - anything - I would greatly appreciate it.

Firstly, how old are you? What was your plan 5 years ago which didn't pan out?

I just turned 16. I know it's too soon to be thinking like this. Also, I meant that about a year ago I started looking into self-improvement and all that stuff. Until about 3 months ago all was going well for my 5-year-plan I had built. Then I slowly lost pace and now I'm back at square one. I have so much ambitions yet I don't do anything about it because I just feel lost, no clue where to start (or start over per se)

some legit advice is to focus on not being an incel and slaying, then you'll probably feel more positive and motivated.

I actually left the site (and the whole incelosphere even though the thoughts will probably remain for quite a while) but I just became the me from before instead of a happier version of myself

That's what I did, and though I feel happier, I feel like a failure more. I know I'm not actually happy... the video games, the porn, the YouTube videos, all that bullshit. This is just a fake high. I'd rather be miserable and fulfilled (gym, bonesmashing, actual effort)

Well, it's the only platform where I can watch Tate. I left Instagram for that specific reason though.

Bro you're 16? 5 Years ago, you were 11. I'm 26 When I was 16 I was addicted to meth and dropped out of school after doing 0 exams, kicked out of my house had no friends and was addicted to videogames. Since then, I've been back to school went to university have a job which I like and a social life. My life's not perfect but you'd be surprised how much you can change your situation if you put in the effort. I would kill to be in your situation. Just focus on self-improvement and don't play videogames.

Well yeah bro, again I didn't say something about 5 years ago, I meant last year I made a 5-year-plan (so when I would've been 20 and now that just isn't working anymore and I feel like a fuckin' failure yknow? I'm glad you got it sorted out now, but I don't know what I have to do, like when you say put in the effort, I don't know what exactly I have to do. I know this sounds dumb but I'm just so lost man.

Rumble to watch Tate content

Engineer your environment to make doing what you should do as easy as possible. And doing what you shouldn't as hard as possible. Imo

You need to build momentum. Start very slow with that you can definitely achieve and build up gradually.

Ah sorry I misread your post. It's up to you but I would write out what person you want to be then figure out what steps you would need to become that person. Then write a habit tracker and fill it with positive habits and try to complete it every day. The fact that you are having these feelings already shows you are ahead of most people your age. Also stop watching Andrew Tate.

Noted.

OK, I'll try to do that. Do you have any ideas/recommendations on the things I should start doing? (sorry for the dumb question)

Have you noticed any irl benefits since you started looksmaxing?

OK, that's good I'll get started right away with that. I'm gonna write out the best me possible, physically, mentally and spiritually. And then write the exact steps I need to do and the habits to adopt.
That's true I do feel like people around me have way less complex lives than mine but that's not a brag at all it's just something I observed.
Also why do you say that about Andrew Tate? (Iman Gadzhi, Joe Rogan etc. as well? or just Tate)

Yes. Somewhat. I was just too dumb to see it or act upon it. Since I was only getting started though, the benefits were slight.

Not a dumb question.

First thing focus imo should be to remove negative behaviour.

If you are addicted to sugar or eat unhealthily, throw all unhealthy food in the bin.

If you are addicted to video games, uninstall them from your computer.

If you are addicted to porn, delete any saved shit and put a blocking software on your browser.

The more challenges you have to overcome to do something, the less likely you are to do it. Try to make negative behaviours so challenging that they just aren't worth it.

Don't move too fast. Better to go slow and steadily improve than to go too fast and burn out. If you can get rid of one major bad habit every month or two you will be so much better off in a year you won't believe it.

Very good advice imo. Again should start slow with only 2 or 3 habits then add maybe one per week ONLY IF you were consistent with the others.

Keep watching Andrew Tate. Good for motivation and based opinions.

Good. Yes, I'll do that. I've been on break from school the last two weeks and I literally gave in. I haven't left the house in almost a week now. I'll get back on track. I always do man.

Right. I'll start with the basics : gym, better sleep schedule, and meditation. Then I'll add (once I'm consistent) reading, and financing (I have quite a bit of money that I've been saving and I wanna get into investing).

Life is all about finding the resolve to keep on going when everything seems to fall apart.

It's when you're at your lowest that most is required from you. Truthfully, I had a bad day today, failed an incredibly important exam for the 2nd time. Re-taking will take months and cost me a lot financially.

Giving up is incredibly easy, you feel like a failure. In such times, I remind myself it's most important to move forward. It doesn't ease the hurt, and not much will but that's not the goal. It's to keep moving forward, one step at a time. For if you haven't quit, you haven't lost.

There are lessons to be learned in your suffering, never forget that.

True man... Everything is falling apart around me right now, and even though giving up is tempting I don't want to do it because I know that long term I'm gonna regret it deeply.

What i mean is you gotta work your way up through maslows hierarchy of needs, if your basic physiological NEEDS (breathing, food, sleep etc but also inclunding SEX) are not being met, then you simply can't just cut straight towards self actualization.

I feel like I can't meet the sex need without changing myself first though
