I don't want to look like another grey posting basic questions about peptides but that's what this is so if that make you mad just don't read.
1. What peptides to take
I'm facing the same set of issues that most people turn to peptides to solve, weight loss, building muscle and skin quality and colouring.
For weight loss the consensuses in most well known places is that reta is unmatched but on more specific forums I see other things being discussed along side it. I'm pretty happy to take reta because it's the one I've looked into the most but on the off chance there's anything that might be better in some ways lmk.
For colouring I have only really seen mt 2 but I heard that mt 1 might still be worth taking because its more stable and safer or something but I can look in to that myself, for this I was just wondering if there are even any other real option because mt 2 seems to be all I see anywhere.
For skin quality I see a lot of GHK-Cu hype on tiktok (similar to reta) but it doesn't seem like it lives up to the hype as much as reta does, still seems good though. The only alternative I've seen is glow but I've seen some different formulations and I don't know exactly what to go for or weather to just aim for straight GHK.
For muscle building I'll be honest I didn't want to come here without having done some research but I have seen a lot of conflicting info for this stuff and I don't really know what to believe for context I'm 19 and I'm not trying to build a crazy physic or anything I just want a good lean look. Tbh I could probably get away without using anything but some of the stuff that I've seen in the glow stack I also see in discussions about good peptides for working out so if anything can do double duty I wouldn't mind using it.
I'd also be open to hearing about any other benefits I could get from peptides but the things above are what I'm mainly interested in.
Ideally I would like to minimise the number of peptides I take whilst maintaining good results so anything that doesn't give decent results will probably end up getting dropped. Another thing that would be nice is to take things that only require you to pin once a week just for ease of use but I don't mind that too much.
2. Sourcing
I know taking about where to get peptides can be a bit controversial but I'm yet to find anywhere good so there's no worries about shilling. I've looked around on some other forums and checked out some places but I haven't had much luck. I found Jinsheng Peptide Co. which I think also goes by peptide facility and I was thinking of buying from them but I'm not 100% sure about them and I've seen some bad stuff about them recently on reddit. I also find their discord to be a bit sketchy, only the owner can post even in the chat channel, there are no posts from before October and they recently put up a reta test result but its just a screen shot and you cant see the verification number. idk if any of that is normal but it is putting me off. I plan to continue looking, ideally I want one place with all the stuff to avoid having to pay shipping multiple times and I think it goes without saying that I'm not trying to pay 10x the grey market price nor do I want Chinese rat piss. If you know of anywhere that meets these conditions and ship to UK then dm if you feel comfortable sharing.
3. Delivery
I don't see anyone talking about this but it's a big concern for me. people online go on about how fragile peptides are but I'm supposed to believe a Chinese lab will be able to send them halfway around the planet and in their month long journey they wont be shaken a bit or get to hot? I imagine that people exaggerate how delicate they are and that they are packaged to prevent damage or degradation but can someone who has ordered from china before please confirm this to settle my mind.
I'm also not able to order to my house due to the chance that my parents find the package, its not like they go through everything but I'd rather not risk it. idk how it is else where but in the UK you can have most online deliveries sent to a post office and just collect it in person which is what I would like to do but I don't think you can just write the post office address on the delivery address, you need to select it when you make the purchase which I don't know will be possible if I get it from some random grey market place. It seems I might have to bite the bullet and have it sent to me but I'm going to keep looking into it and I might be able to have it sent to a friend who's parents don't look at their stuff but that's not locked in. I think it will be easier to come to a conclusion regarding this when I know from where I plan to purchase because I imagine different places may have different options.
My final concern is seizure, I asked chat gpt if you are allowed to ship reta into the uk and it said no and that it could be seized by customs. I know this is just chat gpt but I feel like it's real risk, if anyone is or knows someone who got Chinese peptides in the uk please send a dm or let me know your experience.
4. Storage
I have heard conflicting things about storing both powder and reconstituted peptides so I have a few questions.
For powder I've heard that you should store it in the fridge if you plan on using it in less than 3 or 4 months and in the freezer for longer times but I also saw one guy on org say that you shouldn't keep it in the fridge due to condensation or something. I don't trust the guy on org but I feel like there had to have been something behind his belief or do you guys think it was just 100% bait.
As for reconstituted peptides everyone says you should keep them between 4-8 C which is fine but my question relates to how long you can use a vile before needing to through it away. I have heard anything from 1 week to 3 months when it comes to this but there doesn't seem to be much of a consensuses, the people who recommend a longer time say that its safe as long as you keep everything sterile every time you use the peptide. I haven't seen any counter arguments from people who recommend shorter time which makes me think they are just either overly cautious or unaware.
My freezer is about -18 C and I plan to buy a fridge box thing that can stay between 4 and 8 so that I don't have to sneak into the fridge all the time, I would only need to take stuff out the freezer infrequently so I don't mind using the main one.
5. Miscellaneous
1. If, for example, I had 30mg of reta and was taking 1.5mg a week that would mean I would be using the same vile for 20 weeks, even people who say you can use peptides for a long time dont say they will be good for that long so what should I do?
2. I've heard insulin needles work for ghk but I don't see why they wouldn't work for everything?
3. I saw someone say that there is a better alternative to BAC water for ghk but I don't remember what they said, any ideas?
If anyone has anything to add please do
