I haven't gone on a date in over a year. I literally didn't even pursue girls in 2024. I was trying to get girls in my last year of college (2023) but ever since I've been out of college and in the "real world", I have had very few interactions with girls my age and I haven't prioritised dating, also dating apps suck.
This is a girl that I actually had no expectations of going anywhere with. I met her on my last month at college, in the end of 2023. She was a freshman, a nerdy-looking girl (but good pheno) and I was basically on my way out of college, my mind was in a different place. We met at a language exchange party.
We were both learning the same language and we talked for a bit. It must've been like 10 minutes, I barely got her instagram before she had to dip. Didn't think much of it. The same week I invited her to a bar cause why not. She said she couldn't go because she was too busy. I didn't text her again after that. The next month I had already moved back to my country and I didn't think I'd ever interact with her again.
But then she randomly sent me a meme that is very curated to the kind of person that I am, i thought it was cute how she remembered me and i liked it. We started actually texting. I asked her if she ever wanted to facetime to practice the language we're both learning and she said yes. We did that a few times over last year, just like, an hour long call every three months or so talking about life just to "practice the language". But we got to know each other better.
Now after a year I'm finally visiting the city that I went to university in, and she's in her second year. We're meeting up at a restaurant that she chose at 12:30 tomorrow.
