noesis @imontheloose
after beginning to meditate
I now get "pre-night" terrors
They aren't really that scary
But I see, and feel things that make it hard to sleep,
When meditating, the only thing that startles me is when I see faces
But now it happens when I'm just trying to go to sleep, I'll see normal faces, I'll see scary deformed faces, slug monsters and creatures that don't make sense
They begin at a distance and grow closer in an instant, like a Jumpscare
This reference gif is actually way worse
They usually aren't that tangible, and the environment isn't vivid,
It's just a flash of a face, that's pulled into me and goes away
It doesn't last, and it doesn't do anything when it gets to me
In addition, it's just a wave of fear
As though my father just knocked on my door while I'm smoking a doobie, just a half second wave of being petrified
I'm not actually petrified because I expect and am conditioned to it, but that's the best explanation I can muster...
I'm losing it
