Don’t wanna use oral cause I only want to grow my eyebrows, and I’ve heard the bloat is bad taking it orally .

I also dermarolled both my face and eyebrows, supposedly it improves the effect (not dermaroll face, because it damages the skin and I had to restore it)

I used topical minoxidil on my brows for about a year in hopes of getting some lateral gains but it made the hairs slightly longer at best. I stopped using it without tapering off and it seemed like nothing happened.

Some people respond to it really well though, iirc @Orc had a thread where he got massive eyebrow gains. That may have been oral though, not sure.

Also forgot to mention gonna get oral castor oil too, seen a lot of people say it works .

I’m gonna be getting the minoxidil anyways, it’s 30 dollars for a 6 months supply.

The problem with using minoxidil on your eyebrows is that most if not all of your hair follicles have already come in, and so minox probably won't help much. Compare that to your beard, which is what I'm using it for, where many of my hairs have developed and turned terminal yet. If there are dormant follicles then minox should help to encourage hair to grow, but if all of your follicles have already come in, then it won't do much except potentially increase the terminal length slightly

So is there no hope for eyebrow growth? What would you recommend.

Well I wouldn't say no hope, but there probably isn't going to be a huge difference, unless they are pretty thin and there are dormant hair follicles that could be stimulated, then maybe you'll see some. Then again, most of what I know is related to beards, so you might see something. Also like someone else pointed out most likely what might happen is you will see the brows get longer as some hair might come in on the outermost parts where there isn't as much. Although a (maybe temporary) side effect could be that you see some hairs, probably just vellus ones, growing above your eyebrows on your forehead. Of course all of that is genetics dependent though, not everyone might get that, it all depends on your body's ability to respond to the minox.

Can't comment on beard, but I used minox 5%, 2x daily for my eyebrows for several months

Mainly to bring them closer together and I confirm it's really hard to get hair where there wasn't any before

It's great for density, but otherwise one shouldn't expect miracles

Yeah id say its worth a try for OP. You look at the risk/reward ratio and its pretty good, not like some minox is gonna kill you, it just might not do much. Can't say much for my own brows though, they're pretty thick and I've already got like 30 hairs in between my brows so id rather nor risk a full unibrow for a little more density

I actually have a good shape for my brows, it’s thick but what I lack is density to give it that full looking effect.

thats good mine have good shape but aren't quite as thick as id like them to be. shit maybe ill use some of the spare minox for that too. No reason not to at least try, it could very well have some impact on the density. Just be consistent and maybe dermastamp (not dermaroll, more likely to cause unecessary micro tears) too once a week or so. worst case you don't see much change and then i think theres microblading for that, dont ask i dont know shit about that (r/microblading or whatever for info)
