Holy fuck. I think I found it.

I’ve been obsessively searching for the “perfect idea”, something that sits at the intersection of being genuinely useful to people and allowing me to flex what I actually enjoy doing: writing code, designing systems, building tools. Because I’m not grinding for a software engineering degree just to end up doing something different. I want to build something real, something I’m proud of. Something that could grow into a serious company.

And I think I just found it. The potential startup that could actually change my life. After doing some research there have been some similar startups doing what I'm thinking about, with relatively great success and who have gotten VC funding in the past, so the idea is realistic within the market.

I think it is perfect and has almost every possibility to succeed, if I actually stick to it for at the very least 5 years, of course I'm not telling you my ultra-smart, genius, multi-trillion-billion-zeptillion dollar idea BUT I'LL BE BACK IN 5 YEARS IF THIS FORUM IS STILL A THING TO TELL YOU IF I MADE IT OR NOT

One proper idea I have is an IoT wearable device which connects to appliances in the home. For example, the device can detect when you usually go to bed, so it can dim the lights in your house around that time. It can start to heat up your electric blanket too in preparation. It can also signal to your boiler to turn the heating on, or to start warming up water whenever you want to take a shower. Endless possibilities but I have 0 technical knowledge to even know where to begin

Oh, I have a stable job (relatively speaking), I'm not gonna quit my job like a dumbass for a startup idea I haven't even validated. I still need a job to pay the bills, working on my startup is second, I'll only fully dedicate to it if I see it has any prospects of success and I'm making revenue relative to my job.
