I'm currently doing my gcses, there's a lot of ukcels here so they'll know what I mean. Anyway I did my edexcel H maths paper yesterday, I thought it was so fucking easy and that I basically got every question right. I let my pride get ahead of me and didn't bother to do the questions accurately (e.g. simplify the answer fully). Finished 20 minutes early and I still didn't bother to redo harder questions just in case.

Anyway I walked out of that exam thinking I got 75/80 on that paper. I come home to see the answers leaked, compare them to whatever I got and I think I'm pretty sure I got like 60/80.

BRUTAL.

These are my actual exams, this was my final chance to do well and I fucked up. I'll be lucky if I do well on paper 2+3

I got 68, I'm still a fucking dumbass for getting so many questions wrong. I should be put down for not being able to do inverse proportion, HCF, and looking at basic units

got 78/80 68 is still fairly close to/on the boundary for a 9. its never over lock in for paper 2 and 3 over the half term

i have been at a grade 9 in maths and further maths since november last year and i have done a past paper every week since like the start of year 10, my english grades are cooked tho low iq subject. most of these people finding the papers easy are just stupid and have hella low standards don't put yourself down. prioritise sleep (plenty of sleepmaxxing threads here), find a cramming technique that works for you, ive found meditating 10 minutes in the morning helps with the exams too. just stay calm bro if you plan on doing alevels and going to uni as long as you can get 6+ in most/all of your options you will be fine they mostly care about alevel grades and extra/super curriculars
