Basically before we had these degenerate dating apps and social media, people used to go to “speed” dating events.

Usually there would be a woman or man on each table and you would have let’s say 5 minutes to talk to someone before moving to a different person. If 2 people both liked each other you would just get their numbers and hook up or have more dates after the events.

Now speed dating has just been giving different names on social media like “20 vs 1” or “tinder irl” or “pop the balloon” but they’re all essentially just different versions of speed dating.
