Okay maybe not without ANY drugs. I did use contrave a few times to control cravings but still. I never used any kind of GLP-1
Contrave basically just helps blunt cravings and emotional eating which was the main reason for me, not lack of discipline, it doesn't suppress appetite the same way the GLP-1 drugs do, and it doesn't slow gastric emptying or anything like that. You still have to actually control what you eat and maintain a deficit
I was very tempted to do it tho. I think i have reta in my shelf somewhere but I never used it. Took me a lot longer time, was difficult but it's more sustainable for me, many GLPs are infamous for that rebound, once they stop, hunger signals come back hard and a lot of people regain the weight they lost. That never happened with me. Doing it slower forced me to actually fix my food habits instead of a crash diet.
