Here honestly I have only like personal notes and rough story beats lined up, I can either send you the entire unedited notes or just plug that shit in chat gpt and make a summary of it just because nothing is tied with any specific emotional rhetoric yet + can overview the summary to see if it’s accurate because I myself am the writer

Just send it since you suggested it, why would I read a ChatGPT summary, that’s not your writing and it will clean it up

Meta Ironic sincerity:

  • Use Dark comedy and ironic vagueness as a way to create a pedestal made of meta irony for the messages to be told sincerely, but still detached
  • exaggerated characters, but have them be real people's values
  • Osolates between thriller and comedy (thriller and comedy) (The Golden Fleece)
  • Internal growth from sincerely ironic incidents
  • Use comedy as a distraction, being meta on my own use of distractions to face the harshness of reaility
Aesthetics:

Using strong and clear aesthetics to help capture the viewer's interest is needed

Dialectics:

Make sure to show clearly what the movie is and what it's not.

Pragmatic Idealism

  • The script addresses real-world problems that are challenging to resolve, so I introduce the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche, specifically the concepts of the last man and the Übermensch, to create a grand narrative of idealistic transformation in the contemporary age, while being meta, and understanding it is a huge ask.

Premise

Disillusionment, that is uncertain and weak-willed in the absurd, will lead to your decay because of a lack of prominent meaning and understanding.

Symbolism

Forest —> The Absurd (Hardships, Action, Mundanity, Randomness, Death, Reality)

Lost Man —> Meaning

  • In a forest, there is an unknown guy, battered, scared, and breathing heavily. It's dark, cold, and unforgiving.
  • He's limping until he accidentally falls down a hill, then he sees a wolf looking at him, and he runs, ripping his pants and only exposing his ass.
  • We go to Hayden, who is staring at an assessment for school, a very mundane task until he gets a call from his friend Tommy telling him that they are close to picking him up to go to a party. He says and argues that he didn't know if he wanted to go or not, and his friend tells him he can never make up his fucking mind. He tries to talk himself out of it, but gets dragged out of his dorm by his friends.
  • They head to the party, showing the Oregon coast setting.
  • When they arrive, there is a huge line; his three friends are drunk. Tommy tells Hayden they are not going to get in. Hayden gets mad at him for telling him that and tells him they could try. While they argue, his two friends are drinking with this one guy who's already plastered and making him even more fucked up. They line up and talk to the fraternity guy, who tells them it's full. While they start trying to swindel their way in, the plastered guy begins to piss on the lawn, which makes the frat guy go and beat him up. During this, the group sneaks in because Tommy pushes Hayden.
  • While they walk in and around the house, Hayden and Tommy start a discussion about Hayden’s inability to take action, and it gets deep, but in a drunken way.
  • Hayden goes out to find a drink, but instead, some guy offers him a blunt and falls asleep on the chair, leaving Hayden awkwardly smoking the blunt by himself while the guy is sleeping next to him.
  • Then Hayden gets a call from the automated SAR call. He answers it quickly and hastily puts out the blunt, but accidentally burns the guy's hair while getting information about the mission, leaving the blunt in his hair.
  • With this, he quickly tries to find Tommy until he stumbles upon him talking to a girl. He tells him that he needs to go home because he got called, but Tommy doesn't budge, and the girl takes an interest in Hayden, Tommy gets drunken mad at Hayden and start aruging with him until a frat guy comes by and tells them what the problem is, mid argument the guy Hayden put the blunt out on comes by and starts to agrue with Hayden leading the frat guy to kick him out
  • Hayden goes outside and calls Albert, telling him he needs a ride, and Albert says he could pick him up
  • While waiting for Albert, Hayden sits in silence mundanely, until he starts thinking of the mission, and he starts to get happy
  • Albert arrives and picks up Hayden in a 2006 Mustang GT Hayden thanks Albert and tells him how his last mission was without him. We hard cut to a guy committing suicide, and the two other guys (Gabriel and a masked man) are looking terrified and shocked while Albert looks blankly as the guy falls, and then back cut and says good and talks about how Gabriel is coming.
  • As they drive to the Incident Command Post, Albert is driving very fast and blasting metal music, and all while Hayden is just starting to feel high, and he's trying to say he's fine in his head
  • It's getting close to the brink of dusk, and they get to the Incident Command Post, which is a small firehall. Albert finds out that Hayden is high and makes fun of him, and is excited to see what unfolds
  • Gabriel arrives in a big pickup truck, where he links up with his old team again, which includes Albert and Hayden
  • They are the only ground team available. While the incident commander is giving details, we are subject to Hayden's thoughts, recalling a time when he is looking at a lake, seeing his reflection on the surface of the lake, and it slowly shows us that under his reflection from the surface of the lake, there is a dead man's face.
  • The Incident commander finished, and Hayden instantly getting serious, pushes to team to haste.
  • It is now dusk, and they start moving through the unforgiving forest quickly. During their search, they discuss whether the man is dead, first initiated by Albert: “Do you guys think the guy is dead yet?”
  • This starts a debate between the team, Gabriel saying that he is not, and we must hurry, with Hayden agreeing, the argument grows even more with Albert bringing up very good points. With these points, Gabriel brings up religious points, and Albert’s reaction is dismissal, while Hayden’s is unsure but unprejudiced.
  • They walk for a while more, quietly, each of them kind of meditating on the debate, but unshowing, until Albert points out a blood-covered branch with human fat hanging off, calling it on the radio.
  • Sparking a reaction out of Albert, saying that the guy is for sure dead, making Gabriel shoulder push him. They see a disturbance that is a path, and they walk down a hill until they see a deer looking at them. They stay for a while until a rotten tree falls on it, killing it.
  • Albert reacts with a “oh welp.” Gabriel reacts as “This is an unholy action, something is wrong,” and Hayden reacts and tries to pretend like it never happened and look for more clues, while the other two get close and look at it, but in reality, he is scared
  • He looks over a canyon for a while, just trying to get his mind off of it in a way, until he sees a piece of clothing that belonged to the man ripped on one of the rocks
  • Albert goes over to see what he's looking at and then points it out for Gabriel, calling it on the radio
  • They tie a rope up unknowling around a rotting tree unknowingly and start to head down the cliff. Midway through the tree breaks, falling down the cliff, almost hitting the team that fell to the floor
  • They panic and make sure everyone is okay, and somehow are all okay. Albert tries to call it in on the radio, but because they are in a canyon, they can't get a signal
  • Gabriel and Albert start to argue, Albert wanting to leave because it's getting too dangerous just to find a dead man, and Gabriel says it's not, and we don't have enough time, while Hayden also agrees it's fine and we should find the guy because he's probably close

Mind you these are very rough notes, try to judge it off the idea itself not the actual structure because there is none
