I started working about 4 months ago and have barely made anything, yet I'm getting taxed. The yearly threshold where tax starts is £12,570, and I haven't even made 1/3 of that in the 4 months.
Yet last month I made £1200 and they took away £200 in tax
I contacted the employer and they sent some stuff about how they were taxing the right amount, but I am on the wrong tax code.
I should get a refund at the end of the tax year, which is next month, but it's just an inconvenience, and atm I'm being scammed
