I want to take religion more seriously so I’m starting to read the Bible. Any advice?

Understand the bible is only pertaining to the Israelites and everyone else is ignored in the bible or forgotten about. Even the flood is localized to where the Israelites where residing in, Paul only preached to the Israelites, etc. Christianity is not universal for everyone
