TLDR: AI will soon wipe out many white-collar jobs, and yet normies seem to be barely noticing, or they actively hate or ignore AI.

I just laugh my fucking ass off at how, even now, most normie retards just arrogantly sneer at AI, calling it useless or overrated, saying it does nothing but complicate their work or doesn't help that much. Meanwhile, I, a writer and game dev, became an early adopter from the very beginning, and it's revolutionized nearly everything I do. It's improved my writing quality by 10x, allows me to do stuff faster, lets me write game code that previously would've required a professional programmer (those guys are among the biggest copers btw). It creates music and sound effects for my games, etc.

And yet, go to any dev Discord, be it game dev, coding, art, or anything really, and 90 percent of the time you'll see nothing but hostility and rejection of the technology. Many just outright prohibit anything related to AI. They're in pure bona fide cope mode, thinking AI is unreliable (which to be fair, it was in the early stages), or somehow does not qualify as 'real work' (just lol at the cope). It's just utterly laughable. The funniest part is when they say a given media or piece of content is awesome and then hate it only after they find out it's AI. They literally spend hours or days even making their shitty image or project by hand and meanwhile I can generate something 100x the quality in ten seconds with a prompt.

If you're an early AI adopter, you'll have a massive advantage, at least until it starts making us useless. Oh well.

You have the capitalistic perspective: If x makes me do y more efficiently, then it's good.

meanwhile reality is that most of us are going to be 'useless' in the future and when our overlords have no 'use' for us anymore, you can only guess what's going to happen to our life-quality.

I don't think lack of talent is the issue. The thing is, many of these losers have nothing else than their current copes (art, coding, whatever nerd hobby, etc) and the thought of being stripped of this one single specific thing that makes them 'special' is horrifying to them. Chad does not care if AI replaces his coding or artistic skills because he will still be in demand.

I would say yours is actually the capitalistic perspective here and his is idealistic. I agree with your point but he is also correct that we must adapt or die and not everyone is going to make it.

agreed because i can do schoolwork 5x as fast and not have to do it, i just send a few pictures, copy it down, and it’s done

The same retards who claim that college is useless have ivy league degrees themselves.

JD Patel Vance has ivy league degrees and tells people to learn a trade. Why don't he and his Jeet wife learn a trade? Such as how to take a shit in a toilet, since his own people can't seem to do that.

Drive a truck around for 12 hours a day or work as a mechanic with shitty car fumes and angry customers, or work 4 hours at an office and at home (assuming that you are working hybrid) and spend the other 4 hours pretending to work and on your phone and have a position of "financial analyst," "corporate lawyer" or "IT associate" and earn the same if not more and get more respect.

Which one would you prefer? Stop listening to JD Patel Vance, Joe [Noseburg] Rogan, Dr. [Goldburg} Phil and Ben kike Shapiro. They all graduated from top colleges and got post grad degrees besides Joe [Noseburg] Rogan , who went to Boston college and got lucky with his comedy and podcast. We all know that if his comedy never took off, he would have stayed at his top college, Boston College and graduated.

People dislike "AI art" because they view art as an expression of the artist. It's supposed to be personal.
An AI just generates "content". There is nothing personal about it.

It doesn't help that most people that use AI aren't just using it as a tool on the side to speed things up, but are talentless hacks that rely solely on AI generation. People dislike talentless hacks. They serve no purpose, they have no value.

How long do you think we have left to make use of this and be considered early adopters?

For example, I've found it's helping me with music production, giving me feedback on my melodies based on the note structure and telling me tips for notes / sequences that would allow me to create a melody that sounds like x producer

I imagine this is the perfect time to benefit from this tool as people are still largely using their own creativity to make music

How long do you expect it will be until you can just use a prompt to create a song / melody better than what any human has come up with in the last 5 years?

I also played around with making videos using prompts, it's giga impressive.
There's no longer any need to go out and try use actors to record a music video and no need to pay animators to get your idea across for an informative video, you can just use prompts with AI until you make something resembling what you want

I actually hope it stays in this zone for a while before others take major advantage of it and I hope most remain in denial about it

This is like the biggest artist cope ever. Their art is not 'special' because it was made by a human. They don't even have styles that are specific to them. 'Their styles' are actually just 'a style' that they happen to be using. And what makes their art look the way it does is actually just flaws; the reason AI art looks so similar is that it's more consistent. If AI images become good enough, most people will not especially care if there was 'soul' put into it.

EDIT: I will also add that NSFW AI porn is becoming increasingly popular. It already looks better than 90+% of hentai, pornographic comics, and so on.

Your issue is that you don't understand the difference between an illustration and art. Does AI make for better illustrators? Sure. Does it make for better artists? No.

Sigh.

All this bullshit about art having 'soul' or being about 'expression' is pseudo-intellectual nonsense. An image is just an image, and it's either professionally made or it isn't. The problem with arguments like this is that people can still describe what they want even if they aren't drawing it, so if you have some 'deep' concept in mind, you can still have the AI do this. You do not need artists.

I assume this meant "some AI recommendation". Frankly, just get poe. They give you monthly tokens you can use for nearly every AI at the same time.

ooo ok, my english is kinda bad, not my native language btw

@disillusioned what genre game you making squidbro

And btw, a major advantage of poe is that you are actually getting the 'full' AIs. The versions they give to the masses on the web interfaces (chatgpt, gemini, grok, etc) are actually dumbed down and have much lower context memory because they don't want to waste $$$ by giving idiot normies the full real thing when all they'll do with it is make cat memes. The versions on Poe are more expensive in that you have finite monthly credits, but you're actually getting the real deal. I've done insane stuff with it that would never be possible on the regular chatbot versions.

but the creator of the bot cant see the massages?

I refuse to use it for such things out of principle as a true creative

Not sure I understand what is being asked.

Ok enjoy becoming irrelevant. Even professional artists will be using AI in the future as part of their workflo
Artists will be out of work in the future because of so many people like you. And art itself will become valueless as anything other than a toy. When everyone can do it from a 5 year old to 85, nothing is worth anything anymore. Even if you have an original masterful idea why would anyone pay for it when they can simply recreate it and make it their own. And if you feed into this fire that will soon burn everyone you were never a creative, you are only interested in the money from a product. Might as well use it to catfish instead

This is a cucked mentality. Who gives a shit if anybody can make art? Why make something just to feel validated by others? Do I need to care if other people like the same taste of chocolate as I do?
