Italy (Roman empire, Byzantine empire shared with Greece, renaissance, played a fair role in both world wars)

Germany (barbarians, originally where the Anglo Saxons came from, Holy Roman Empire, Prussia, ww1 and ww2)

Greece being pretty equal or slightly better

France

Iran (Persian empire (achemeneid, sassanid, like 1000 other ones), Safavid empire)

China being equal or better

Spain being pretty equal (reconquista, visigoths, Spanish empire)

England did a LOT. We had some of the best battles ever. Such as king Alfred defending Wessex from Norman threats with an extremely outclassed army. The war of the roses, the 100 year war. The establishment of the Church of England. Explorers under queen Elizabeth I. Most influential scientists pre 1800s. Some of the best classical literature ever. I could go on for so much longer. England is the most historically relevant country in the world and it’s an insane statement to say it has a worse history than countries like Germany America and Iran.
