One reason why prices are so high now is because of this Commie "equity" wealth redistribution scheme that pays a handful of entitled losers inflated wages while charging the rest of us outlandish prices to subsidize them.

Notice how much more your Big Mac now costs compared to just a few years ago?

I blame not only the progressive politicians that force high minimum wages, but also the woke cucks that now run the companies that employ these entitled children. They won't tell them to stop demanding more money and shut the fuck up or get fired. So, I guess we'll just have to suffer ("weak men create hard times").

The inflation has gotten so bad that companies are using sneaky, creative tactics to hide it:

1. Inflation (higher prices)
2. Shrinkflation (smaller packages)
3. Skimpflation (substituting cheaper ingredients or materials)

So, you're getting less for your money now.

For example, as far as we can remember, a package of sugar has always weighed 5 lbs.. Well, not anymore. Companies have shaved 20% off the package and now it weighs 4 lbs. (for the same price or more). Are you excited yet?

Did you know that most 'ice cream' for sale now is not even real ice cream? It may look like ice cream, but it doesn't taste nearly as good. That's because it's been reformulated and relabed as "frozen dairy dessert". This is basically a watered down version of ice cream that contains less cream and more chemicals and additives to make up for the loss of flavor. Fucking disgusting. If you had to buy real ice cream, it would now cost you upward of $10 per container. Many people can't afford that, so they created a cheaper substitute for the plebs, hoping they won't notice the difference.

Did you ever think they would make you so poor that real ice cream is considered a luxury?

The same tactics have been used with cereal. Notice that it now tastes like sweetened cardboard? And those slim boxes contain about 2/3 as much cereal as they did just a few years ago. Don't you just love getting ripped off?

$5 for a slice pizza anyone? The slices are about 30% smaller, and they use less of the lower quality toppings now, but don't pay attention to that. You're supposed to smile and pretend that everything is hunkey dorey. Business as usual. The Emperor has clothes. And don't you dare complain or you're a "cheap asshole". After all, everyone is getting ripped off, so that makes it legit. Who the hell are you to complain?

The shrinkflation is actually brutal. I just ordered a caramel frappe from McDonald’s not too long ago— the medium is literally the same size as the small was a year ago.

Exactly, and I bet they tried to create the illusion that the cup is still big by making it slender and tall, right?
People tend to equate size with length. They're too stupid to realize that width is where most of the content of the cup is.

They do that, for sure

It’s fucking comical how greedy the big corporations (who already make enough fucking money) are, to the point that they’ll do these cheeky little psychological illusions just to rob you for every penny you have.

Corporations are only partly to blame. Most of this inflation is actually caused by federal money printing and outrageous minimum wages/labor costs. And, pretty soon, it's gonna get even worse with the Trump tariffs.

So are you saying that it’s required for the corporations to do shrinkflation and/or skimpflation to make profit? And don’t corporations choose how much they’re going to pay employees ?

Im not educated on this stuff

The inflation/shirinkflation/skimplation is actually due to a combination of factors:

- Money printing. This dilutes the value of the dollar, causing the price of everything to go up

- High labor costs. Minimum wages in much of the country have doubled and even tripled in less than 6 years. You have to raise prices with that kind of parabolic increase. Companies can't do anything about this since the minimum wage is the law, so they're forced to pay it (or more).

- Price gouging. Yes, some businesses--especially a lot of the smaller ones--use "inflation" as an excuse to jack up prices and increase profit margins.

- Some of the inflation is caused by geopolitical factors (deglobalization) and disrupted supply chains that haven't quite recovered since Covid

A lot of large companies operate on slim profit margins, so to hide the inflation from their customers, they'll shrink packages and substitute cheaper ingredients and materials. They have to do this in order to maintain their small profit margins.
