I work in customer service drive thru convenience store. You can just tell people think I'm ugly. They either do not look at me as much as possible, talk to my co worker more and look at them, give strange looks when you try to have small talk with them. I see it all and very aware.
Then if by chance there is a kind woman talking nice to me and giving eye contact I know if I actually tried to see if they are single and if I could get the number,they'd give me an excuse like they have a boyfriend. or even say they are single but not looking. How do I know? Because that's what happened at a job similar to what I'm working at now. I tried for lots of girls. Then they might even come in with a punk looking dude and you feel stupid like really that's what you like?
And the bad thing is I pretty much HAVE to do this if i want any kind of money. You might say work at a factory but they slave the shit out of you. In factory's and loner type of jobs the turnover rate is very high for a reason.
