Were at the beginning of history, truly primitive. Can't cure diseases, barbaric surgeries, can't cure mental health. In a few hundred years you would feel good 24/7 both physically and mentally. I also don't see a reason why the elite wouldn't want this to happen since if you're happy you will be more content in your place no matter where u are. Revolutions happens because of misery and frustration.
