A better marketing move would be to just have Jordan in the ad so that there is no association to SyrianPsycho

Inserting himself in with Jordan makes it look like he paid him to associate (which he obviously did do, as all brands do) but the point of modeling is the appearance of status by association, which is negated when you’re association is blatantly based on monetary incentives.

When’s the last time you saw a top fashion brand designer inserting himself or herself in with the models in the campaign? You don’t see it because the point of the advertisement is to give the illusion that good looking people WILLINGLY associate with your brand and don’t need monetary incentives to do so.

Apart from that he is just blatantly getting mogged here which is doubly worse because his whole brand is based on ascending and looking good, it makes his life’s work look foolish by comparison. Part of his job is to convince people they can ascend to Chad, it’s much harder to convince people they can ascend to Chad when you’ve spent your whole life trying to ascend only to get mogged to oblivion the second you stand next to a real Chad.

He didn’t insert himself in the ad because of “marketing” reasons, he did it because he is narcy and wants to be seen with Barrett (very low status behavior btw.) The best marketing move would be to do what all other high status brands since the dawn of time have done and that is to just put Barrett in the ad by himself or with other equally GL models.

Paying some hot model to be in an ad with you isn’t marketing genius, marketing genius would have been to do what I said to do but SyrianPsycho isn’t a genius nor is he even all that smart, he’s just some dude grifting off an established community who gets an edge by debasing himself in ways that others have too much dignity to do.
