Importance of artificial tears on Accutane

Have been on 40 mg on accutane for about a month now and use Systane eye drops daily. Read a thread where OP claimed artificial tears should be taken 4 times a day regardless of whether or not your eyes are dry as skipping over it could lead to meibomian gland dysfunction, along with daily warm compresses on eyelids for sebum production. Anyone know how accurate this claim is and if it truly needs to be 4x a day?
