So guys my friend (18 years old)got these fairly visible nasolobial folds in a lot of lighting condition and I’m really curios what is the reason behind it, because he got a really forward projecting maxilla with good gonial angle, everted gonions wide palate forward and laterally grown cheekbones, kinda wide skull, forward grown jaw and chin and propably perfect teeth aligment. He also got his upper lip more forward than his lower lip despite he doesn’t think that he got overbite. He also doesn’t really got around his cheek area which makes your cheekbones like an apple when you smile which is a common thing in woman but also in a lot of guys just not as much in woman. So i can attach pictures if someones reply and I would thank the person.

pictures would help, but naso folds can be caused by literally just unlucky genetics and by that I mean the placement and size of the supranasolabial fat pad

It's facial muscles that run there (m. Orbicularis oris). It's completely normal to a certain extent.

Can a plus 2mm than ideal overbite cause this much upper lip protrusion in your opinion ?

Same problem as me. Overbite plus projected big chin. foids don't like chins as big as ours with a deep mentolabial fold
