same in Europe. It's faster to start hybrid or onsite and hope that you can negotiate remote after half a year or something.

I've had a family friend who works in software industry who works for an Australian tech company from home. She lives in New Zealand so she basically works remotely exclusively. I think its possible largely only for IT industry though.
