Does anybody have a non-excessive skin care routine for somebody with pretty severe acne scars. I've dabbled in painful skin surgeries and shit but I'd rather not right now because I'm short on money and because I saw minimal improvements. I took accutane years ago, which basically cured my insane breakouts.

I'd prefer a short list of shit that def works. Right now I'm just using moisturizer twice a day. I'll prob get a retinoid. I understand that I'll prob see minimal improvements from whatever is listed but anything helps. I'm mainly concerned with improving the appearance of my skin rather than directly addressing acne (because I rarely get acne now).

Cleanse and moisturiser in AM and PM and retinol is what’s I’m going to try out for my disgusting acneceldom

The scars are basically fibrotic tissue from chronic inflammation, you need laser treatment to break up the fibrosis.

Cleanser, retinoid, moisturiser, SPF.

It depends on the type and severity of scar, but since you said they were severe and you've had invasive work done, its likely that that's going to be your best option to fix them. Microneedling could also be a good option for you.

thanks ive tried, looked deeply into all the advanced treatments and got a few subcision sessions + RF microneedling, I need a complex plan based on what I read on acne.org but rn I don't have the money for it.
