What do you mean, there are already genetically modified organisms - plants, animals, the Chinese modified some human babies in the embryo stage to make them HIV-resistant, artificial intelligence is used now to analyze, map the human DNA and figure out what each gene does and how they could be modified, after DNA modifications will be used to cure diseases, the next stage will be enhancements purely for cosmetic reasons...

It gets exponentially more complicated the bigger the change you make. each gene is going to effect several others in many different ways.


All this stuff requires very very high levels of civilisational development, which is unravelling already.
