I think once you start exhibiting this trait it means it's well and truly over for you. Literally every dream I have is existentialist horror shit that fucks with my head. It's over when sleeping is worse than being awake Gets especially bad when I'm in a depressive episode and I feel like a corpse everytime I wake up because of how exhausting it all is :feelswhy:

Nightmares are horrifying I haven't had one in a while but I had a string for 2 weeks a year ago and it was all hyper realistic shit and ruined my mental health for the 2 weeks

Had a dream a few days ago where I was watching my best friend get raped by my father

Felt so real I was contemplating patricide when I woke up before I realized it was just a dream

I used to get hyper-realistic lucid nightmares where I’d feel the pain but still wouldn’t wake up right away.

If your dreams are really fucking with you go see a psychologist and figure out what the underlying issue is.

I had a dream I killed someone with a rock by accident and the guilt I felt and the fear I felt in the dream was hyper realistic it's really mentally draining

I've never had any legit nightmares. For some reason my dreams are almost always very nice :feelsyay:

Try having them after having a real PTSD-inducing near-death incident consistently for the next decade onwards of your life with occasional sex dreams of oneitises and what-ifs.

Just keep grinding, keep hustilin. Dreams are unconscious evaluations of daily stress.

R u taking melatonin or something? Eat something sugary and slightly fatty for dinner. I haven’t had nightmares for years after I stopped melatonin and ate sugary dinner or meal

Perhaps it will happen irl, some one my dreams do end up happening. If you’re constantly having nightmares it’s a good indicator of shit mental health, sleeping in heat and poor nutrition

Sleep paralysis is horrifying

I had all of those. Sugar completely kills cortisol so that I can go to sleep, high protein meals before dinner completely kill my sleep. High Protein should be reserved for breakfast and lunch
