I believe in the simulation theory - life is basically just like a video game.
To get a better immersion, and be more invested into each new game, you temporarily delete your memory so you start with no knowledge of who you really are or your previous simulations. Most people have probably played the game of life many times, and tried many different things just to see stuff from other perspectives. It's not unlikely that many incels here have been in other lives women, Chads, rich people, etc., and now just want to experience a below average life out of curiosity(or they simply hit the "randomize all" button and got unlucky with their stats and circumstances).

Yes, you're gonna integrate everything that happened in this life into the real you after you die, just like for example when in this world you play a video game, watch a movie, read a book, etc. - there are times when you are so absorbed that you don't even think about your every day life, right then you're pretty much that character in the game, movie, book, etc...
