Increasing strength retin-a?

Yo, ive been using 0,05 tret for soon 4 months and i still have acne. Not sure if its from irritation or if its too weak so im thinking if i should up the dosage or decrease the dosage.

Trying every other day instead of every day now to see if its from irritation but i have 0.1 available too.

ive been on 0.1 gel and it was pretty bad
a fuck ton of scarring and irritation
but i think it was because i applied it on eye area and lips as well
0.1 is just 0.05 but with more irritation
