On most resume guides, the author always spouts about how a lavish Indeed profile is beneficial for the quality of the resume. Is this true, or just horseshit?

Easiest way is to know someone who will vouch for you so try adding people on Linkedin who work there.

Otherwise just apply everywhere its like tinder and your a guy swipe on everything without looking once then maybe you will get a few offers out of hundreds of tries

Depends on your field, I think.

linkdin is very focused on connections so If you want to build a good profile just go to events/market yourself.
Add your colleagues/lecturers/friends etc (Dont add people that have no connections).

Edit: I thought you where asking about linkedin my bad, I dont use indeed myself so cant really comment.
