If this deal happens. It would be another world record tier military spend by India after Indian Navy's 200 billion dollar spent on aircraft carriers.

India is rumoured to be buying 110 F-35s from the US. Specially comprising for F-35 A and F-35B wirh 2 squadrons of F-35C for aircraft carriers use. This along with Rafale aircrafts and India's own indigenous 5 th generation Tejas, AMCA would according to military analysts make Indian Air Force on par with the China's People's Liberation Army Air Force

The spending is pretty much just to combat China when the inevitable world war happens over Taiwan, right?

they don't have the iq and spatial awareness to be piloting advanced aircrafts. they should stick to analog f 16s or whatever they're using

Yes. China is also heavily investing in roads, airstrip, and bases near the LAC. This is India's response to keep the Chinese at bay what China usually does is gradually encroaches on disputed areas building infrastructure and then claiming them as its own and then have standoffs with the aemt. Ex- Doklam in 2017 and Galwan in 2020. There is a real threat from China but I do think it is Modi government trying to secure personal glory by spending so much on military infrastructure and advertising it everywhere.

Why would India care about Taiwan?

Piloting the F-35 is easier. It has better avionics and pretty much flies itself. F16 and older aircrafts are the ones that need pilot's skills to be effective.

India is part of the Quad (U.S., Japan, Australia, India), which counters China's influence in the Indo-Pacific. Taiwan also produces 90% of semiconductors because of TSMC. Any attack on Taiwan means 100% war with India, Japan and the US.

American fighter jets and other military industrial complex products = pieces of shit that are designed to fail so that taxpayers keep buying them more. Which is bad enough here but doesn’t India need that money for hospitals and water treatment facilities for their impoverished population, the world is run by criminals.

It's the fifth largest economy in the world in terms of production. GDP per capita is crap, and the payment would be made over a period of at least 15 years, so it's not really that much.

I really don't understand why so much obsession with Taiwan. Being hostile will never work and has never worked. And really the only advantage would be the integration of the Taiwanese microchip industrial ecosystem, which is the best in the world (it would probably be destroyed by war lol). And considering the huge advances China has made in recent years, it's not worth it.

They are the best export aircraft in existence and the Americans have an advantage over any country in almost every aspect except the Naval one.

It is a 5th generation twin-engine air superiority fighter. Heavier and with longer range and better air combat capabilities. By pure concept it is better than the F-35.
